Sonata 26
Fixed keel version of a very popular racing, cruising, sunsetting allrounder. This 26 is a 1989 version with a 2003 Tohatsu 5 HP auxillary, which will push her along at 5 knots. The Sonata has 20 amp solar solar panels and 80 amp hour batteries for the house the Garmin 73 GPS the Navman 3100 sounder and the radio. The yacht sports a 7/8 fractional rig new in 2000, new Goldspar mast, stainless steel standing rigging (new in about 2006), running backstays and four Barlow winches. The wardrobe contains 3 mains, a no1 a no 2 and a no 3, 6 other sails from code 0 to no 4 and 4 symmetrical and 1 asymetrical spinnaker................now that should get you started. Accomodation consists of excellent standing room in the cabin, plenty of built in furniture, a basic galley, a manual toilet, and am/fm radio and 40 litres of fresh water. 6 life jackets, flares, 2 fire exstinguishers and a GME EPIRB keep sailors safe. As I said at the outset these are very popular yachts, (there are many Sonata associations around Australia) a great way to get into a bit of racing or family cruising and let's face it recession or no recession $25K is a very inexpensive way to go yachting.
