Whittley Voyager 580 4 Stroke Outboard Power....Extensively Optioned AS NEW CONDITION I have long extolled the vitues of all the family allrounders produced by the Whittley family, but just for the record and to reinforce the message, most Australian boats are built for fishing or commercial purposes. Very few pay attention to all the boating needs of the average family or cater specifically to multipurposing. Enter Whittley. Their boats have always allowed the average bloke to purchase one boat, set up for overnighting and weekending, capable of towing skiers or the kids on the water toys, spacious enough in the cockpit for a spot of fishing or appointed nicely for pure relaxation with a couple of Tooheys and a nice salad. Further these vessels are priced within easy reach of the average bloke I referred to above, unlike many of the imports designed for similar purposes. Not only does this Voyager have every conceivable option fitted, but it is also 4 stroke outboard powered. This frees up even more space in the cockpit and of course simplifies servicing and routine maintenance.....so this is a bit of a find! The four stroke Johnson 140HP is of course a cross badged Suzuki and anyone who has had anything to do with Suzukis (especially their 140's) will. tell you what fabulous motors these guys build. Outstanding economy, quiet, reliable and the list of benefits just goes on. This "Johno" has 135 litres of fuel at it's disposal and is sparked up by two HD batteries. The cockpit presents with foldaway quarter seats with a foldaway dinette table between them. Further the optional Whittley foldaway side benches have been fitted and increase "bum space" markedly. There is copious incoaming storage in this area which is also carpeted. All Whittleys are delivered with full camper covers with insect screens and this setup provides excellent overnight or daytime partial protection (rear and side screens up or removed) for the cockpit area. The driver and passenger seats lift to reveal a sink (with pressurized water) and a liquid fuel stove. The driving station with liberal use of wood grain styled finishes also sports a Navman colour sounder, a Navman GPS/plotter a VHF radio and a CD/AM/FM radio system with waterproof speakers. The forward cabin presents a v-berth with an infill, a flatscreen TV/DVD and toilet all presented in a very stylishly appointed setting. As I said above, this boat has an amazing array of options and I have already alluded to the Whittley cockpit side benches, the CD player, the flat screen TV and DVD player, However see also; electric anchor winch, travel bra nose cover, full storage cover, genuine Johnson cowl cover, carpeted swim platforms, cockpit shower, auxillary bracket, cockpit LED lights and just for good measure a 2 metre inflatable tender with a 3.3 hp motor (so anchor wherever you like). The unit rides on a Mackay multiroller trailer (drive on drive off) with a catwalk, spare wheel and 12 months reg. The owner of this vessel is fastidious, the trailer, motor and tender motor have not only been regularly serviced but been serviced recently.
