Pongrass Custom 7.62
This Pongrass was purchased from us by the current owner in 2006. The vessel at the time was in the guise of a game fisher and powered by a freshly installed Volvo Penta sterndrive. The new owner bought the boat to Perth having chosen the vessel particularly for the hull shape, well known to Pongrass afficionados for their rough water capabilities and their stability at rest. The boat was then stripped from the base of the hull up and sent to well known fibreglassers and boat builders Seafest. Everything from the stringers up was refurbished with no expense spared. In fact we're talking new Mercruiser 5.0 litre MPI with the Alpha lll duoprop leg (yep that near new Volvo Penta was given the flick) new self raising trim tabs (lift automatically when the motor stops so that they're out of the way when the boat is being lifted or loaded on a trailer) completely rewired, new instruments and electronics, all new hardware, new anchor winch (Maxwell), new relax seats (helmsman's seat fully adjustable), new storage compartments, new fresh water tank (150 litres), sink and faucet, new cork decking, new toilet, new fresh water shower, new clears fully enclosing the wheelhouse, and the list goes on. Most certainly "Rampage" offers endless possibilities. With it's lockup cabin and huge V-berths it would make an ideal overnighter, it's obvious seakindliness lends itself to the development of the vessel as a bluewater gameboat, 480 litres of fuel ensures a workable range and whilst it spends it's life under cover currently in dry storage it could in fact with the addition of a trailer be towed. As I stated at the outset, we're only talking 20 hours here on an almost new fitout and this is plenty of boat.
